I am using PSE14 for digital scrapbooking purposes. I have a generic page with 9 squares. I choose photos to group in each square. I want the photos to automatically resize to the size of the square. It is very time consuming to have to do this by hand. Is there a setting somewhere that I have turned off or is there some way to do this easily? Thanks, Melissa

Hello Melissa, I wanted to welcome you to Photoshop Elements & More!
I don't know the answer to your question, but I'd bet good money one of our scrapbooking experts do. I hope to see you around, and perhaps some of your images as well!

When I have multiple squares that are all the same size, I dragged each photo onto my page while holding down the shift key so they center and are all in the same place stacked on each other. I then choose each photo layer be control clicking on each layer in the layers panel. Then I use the move tool to resize all photos at the same time. I do it to the approximate size of the photo block.
There is still the need to move the photos to the correct layer and group and shift them on your photo blocks, but it makes resizing easier.

Hi Melissa, welcome to PSE&M! Glad to have you here.
You already got help from Janice, one of our scrapbooking experts. I am not one. So, I will just address the issue of "automatically resize" and of a "setting somewhere".
The only way I know of that Elements can do automatic/multiple resizing is with the Process Multiple Files feature (under the File menu). Assuming the squares are exactly the same size (pixels, inches, etc.), you could first run this command on your photos. In this way, they will be all ready for the Group With Previous/Create Clipping Mask step. The downside of this approach is that I don't think it is worth the time if you have only 9 photos. It would be a different story if you were planning to use this 9-square page again with additional photos. Anyway, if you are interested . . .

Hi Melissa and welcome. I’m just trying to understand what it is you want to do. Would I be right in thinking that you would like to bring a photo onto your page and have it snap to the shape of one of the squares on your page without you having to do any manipulation of the photo because if so I don’t know of a way to do that in PSE.
What I would do is drag out a rectangular shape to the same size of each square on my page and then clip a photo to that shape but you will still have to use the transform tool to resize your photo within the clipping mask. You can also move the photo within the clipping mask so that you display the part of the photo that you want displayed.
The only other option that I can think of is to click on your Graphics tab and choose Frames. When you click on a frame it will appear in your page and you can drag a photo onto it and it snaps into place. In your layers you can then click on your photo and the frame mask layer and resize both together. Hope this helps.
