It just registered in my thick skull that our printer is capable of printing 8-1/2 x 14 "legal size"
Our DSLRs yield pictures that are 2:3 ratio.
We have been using 8-1/2 x 11 paper; however, if I crop such that the narrow dimension equals the full 8-1/2, I lose 1-3/4" of the image from the long dimension.
If I size the long dimension to be 11", then the narrow dimension is about 7-1/4 and lacks 1-1/4" matching the 8-1/2 dimension.
Then I got to puzzling about the possibles of using 8-1/2 x 14 paper; if I set the narrow dimension to be 8-1/2, then the long dimension is 12-3/4 and leaves a generous 1-1/4" extra to either be trimmed or used for text.
I was so excited with my discovery that I went on the search for 8.5 x 14 photo paper; an unsuccessful search as it turns out.
Does anyone know of a source for 8.5 x 14 photo paper ?
Thanks for reading.

Thanks; I will do that; I have never heard of them before. On EDIT: I am sure glad I asked; else, I would have never seen that wonderful site. I had about given up the quest as a lost cause, but Red River has about four different papers in 8.5 x 14 I intend to also try their sampler packs. Thanks for pointing me in their direction.

I'll echo the comment about Red River paper - I use them as well and have been very happy with the quality.

Also, if you sign up with them, they send out emails once a month with some great links to articles about photography, crafting with photos, and interesting articles. I have saved many of their emails for future reference. They don't fill your mailbox with junk either so I don't think they sell your email like some places. Check it out, if you don't like it unsubscribe! Glad you found the site helpful!
