This hasn’t been mentioned … when you get the message that the image will be rendered less than 300 dpi try this … In Elements go to Image>Resize>Image Size. There make sure that Resample Image is off (unchecked). Now when you can set the size of the image, PSE will figure the resolution.

It doesn't matter what size the document is. I have never had it happen with any other version of elements, and as I mentioned above, I even printed the exact same 8 1/2 x 11 sized text only document in both Elements 15 and 12. I only got the message in Elements 15. And it has only started recently. When I first started using Elements 15 back in the early part of December, I did not receive this message, it only started about a week or so ago. I did begin using a new printer, but I don't think that is the problem since Elements 12 prints fine. I will continue to look for a solution, and I do appreciate everyone's comments and insight.

I think that the above has fostered a great deal of anxiety. DPI=dots per inch, which is a function of the printer (print head, cartridges, drafts, etc.) PPI=pixels per inch, which is the resolution determined by the camera and can be tweaked in PSE with resampling. For printing, it is recommended that the resolution be in the 240-300px/in range. Suggest that the dpi message that pops up be ignored. In the real world the prints come out ok.

I just ignored it and the print came out just fine. I am not sure this is the right approach but I got this idea from this thread.
Print Warning I just ignore it and the prints look okay to me.
Unfortunately, there seems to be another issue running parallel here -- Lisa and I are getting this message only in Elements 15; Tom and Craig have reported getting it in previous versions. Do you have Elements 15? Can you give some input here?
I have no idea why this is happening. As I said earlier, there have been reports of problems with the Print module in Elements 15. As a matter of fact, the 15.1 update (patch) Adobe released last November was designed to fix the print-related crash on macOS 10.12 (Sierra). This may just be another problem in Elements 15. Anyway, I have reported this to Adobe.

I don't have PSEv.15. The message pops up from time to time when I use my Lexmark printer, but I have never seen it when I use my Epson printer. I do update the printer drivers as they become available. That is another variable. Folks buy a new printer and are under the delusion that they have the "latest!" out of the box.

Thanks for the input! This another variable is a possibility. However, I am not sure how it will apply to Lisa's situation. She has a new Epson printer but the message pops up only in Elements 15. If the culprit is the printer, why is the message not popping up in Elements 12 as well? (The boldfaced in her quote is mine.)

In my case . . . I have had my printer (HP) since the days of Windows 7 and its driver has been updated to conform with Windows 8.1 and now Windows 10. As I said earlier, I am getting this message only in Elements 15; no such message pops up in Elements 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14. I tested this issue using all these seven versions of Elements on TWO computers. The results were identical.

Just to clarify, I did think about printer drivers, even though it is a new Epson printer, I did go to the Epson website and installed the most current drivers for the printer that they had listed, just in case they might be newer than my recently purchased printer. Didn't make any difference. Don't mean to drag this issue out, since in my case (and Sepiana's as well) it seems to be isolated to PSE 15 only, and I can still print what I need to and the quality is okay for my purposes, will just have to chalk it up to a PSE 15 quirk. My experience with PSE 15 so far is that it is a bit glitchy now and again (mostly with tools not functioning the way they should), I think my prior version of PSE--version 12, was a little more stable. Thanks everyone. lisa

I seem to see inconsistent results. If you hover click the mouse over that box below the picture, you get some interesting information about the photo. But, if you go ahead and print, you may or may not get the warning being discussed. I'm guess some kind of a bug??
