I am very, very new to Elements 15. Over the years I have scanned pages from old photo albums, that have several photos per page, into my computer. Now I am trying to create a Memorial album for my son, who died recently. How can I crop one picture from a page of photos & how do I add it to a special album? I've played around with it but just keep getting more confused & frustrated & there doesn't appear to be anything in the manual that addresses this particular problem. I need all the help I can get. I would like to create several copies of this album to give to family members at the Memorial Service we'll be having for him. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hi truesue , welcome to Photoshop Elements & More! There is a feature that has existed in PSE for several versions now called Divide Scanned Photos, that may be just what you want. If you have several photos in a single file, it will separate them into individual files. This feature is found by clicking Image on the main menu, then clicking Divide Scanned Photos from the drop-down menu. Here is a short video that explains how to use this wonderful feature: Separating scanned photos in Photoshop Elements but really it is as simple as loading your image and clicking Divide Scanned Photos. Good luck, and let us know if you have any further questions.

When all else fails, use the marquee tool and draw a rectangle around the photo you wish to crop out. It's not an efficient way of doing multiple selections on multiple pages, but if the 'Divide Scanned Photos' doesn't do the trick, using the marquee tool is something to fall back on.
Marquee tool (rectangle option) Draw out a selection from your photo Control/Command J puts that selection on it's own layer Repeat as many times as needed to put each individual photo on it's own layer
