Hi I've just tried to 'Share' a link to a thread I've just created, using the 'Actions' button at the beginning of the thread. However, this just opened a blank webpage and nothing else, so a bit of a no-go This is the first time I've tried to use this facility so not sure if I'm doing anything wrong? Also, is there a way to get a 'follow' a particular thread, please? Many thanks Julie

I've just tried to 'Share' a link to a thread I've just created, using the 'Actions' button at the beginning of the thread. However, this just opened a blank webpage and nothing else, so a bit of a no-go I have just tried sharing a thread. There was no problem. I tested all the sharing options listed and each one worked just fine. I just clicked on the sharing option I wanted and I was taken to their web page. In the case of sharing by e-mail, it opened up my default e-mail.
Could it have been a temporary glitch on your end? ISP? Browser? Try again and let us know what happens.

Thanks, Sepiana I tried again, this time using MS 'Edge' instead of Firefox, and it opened a new email in my email client (Thunderbird) so I could write an email. Unfortunately, this isn't of any great help to me as my T'bird window is always open anyway. I had assumed this 'Share' feature might have automatically put the link in the message box but, in fact, it doesn't. Not to worry. I thought I might have discovered a useful feature, which would have been helpful if I didn't already keep T'Bird open So, it seems Firefox doesn't support this command Not an insolvable issue for me Thanks

Thanks again, Sepiana I can see via your screen shot that the link and title of the thread is shown in the message. This isn't happening for me, for some reason. I've now tried Firefox, MS Edge and Win Explorer but in the latter two, only a new email window opens. I've got Windows Live and Outlook installed and set up, in addition to T'Bird (default) so I would have thought one or other of these email clients would work. These are the versions that I've got, although I don't have a clue re version of Edge (can't find where to look ) Firefox v51.0.1 MS Edge Explorer 11 Anyway, although this might be a handy feature, I'm not too bothered. It does irritate me, though, when something doesn't work Thanks again Julie

Julie -
Don't feel bad, I get the same results you do - just a blank tab opens up when I try to share via email. Using the latest Firefox update.

Julie, my screen shot came from IE11 + Windows Live Mail. I have just checked Chrome + WLM and the link was displayed in the message as well.

How very strange that it doesn't work for me! Something in my setup, presumably. I'll check on my laptop but that won't be until tomorrow but I'll post back Many thanks J

Well, I've just tried this on my laptop and it works well, allbeit slowly.
So, there must be something about my PC setup as I have, basically, the same software, although not as much is installed.
Unless anyone can suggest how I might fix this, I'll leave things as they are and just copy the web address and paste into an email as/when I want to share a thread.
Thanks very much for all the time and trouble you have gone to, Sepiana. I do appreciate it.
