Thank you!

I had found this on the Google NIK web page, so I was curious. They need to update their page!

They are not the only ones. There are other plug-in websites which have not updated their compatibility information. I have the Nik Collection installed in Elements 15 on two computers. No problem whatsoever!
BTW, they also say HDR Efex Pro 2 is not compatible with Elements. However, when you run the installer, this plug-ins gets installed and works just fine.

Sepiana, would you mind posting instructions on how to install the HDR Efex Pro 2 ? I use PSE 9 and being able to access HDR Efex 2 directing from PSE would be so convenient. Thank you for this tip and your help.

zman, I am afraid HDR Efex Pro 2 won't get installed in Elements 9 if you run the installer. You will need to do a manual installation. I don't have Elements 9 but this should work. (It worked in Elements 10.)
I am assuming you are on Windows.
1. Navigate this path to the HDR Efex Pro 2 folder. -- C:\Program Files\Google\Nik Collection\HDR Efex Pro 2 2. Open the HDR Efex Pro 2 folder. 3. Copy the HDR Efex Pro 2.8bf file. 4. Go to the Plug-Ins folder in Elements -- C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9.0\Plug-Ins 5. Paste the .8bf file inside the Google folder. -- C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9.0\Plug-Ins\Google\ . . .

You guy's conversation got me curious about this HDR Efex Pro 2 business.
Way back when I first installed the "NIK collection", I read from several sources that said HDR EFEX Pro 2 would not work in Elements; so, I took them at their word and, although I had the name "HDR Efex Pro 2" in my NIK menu, comfortable in the belief that it didn't work in Elements, I never made any attempt at opening it.
So, just a few minutes ago, I loaded an image in Elements 7, opened the NIK filter menu, and actually clicked on "HDR Efex Pro 2"; lo and behold, the program launched and worked without me doing anything.
So, at least in my case, HDR Efex Pro 2 must install and work in Elements 7.
