How important is the pdf format for you?
I was going to give some tips about the pdf format with Elements editor and organizer, but I would like first to get some ideas of how and when you are using the pdf format. The main recent change has been the removal of pdf support in the organizer. Common questions could be: - what's different with the Photoshop pdf format? - why can't we create multi-page pdf files or slideshows? - why are pdfs produced by Elements so large? - Does pdf format preserve vector files or fonts? - Why so many standards and flavours of pdf files? - ...
So, if you have ideas, questions or tips to start the discussion, you are welcome!

I have the free program "PDF XChange Editor" that seems to be able to do just about anything one would wish to do with a PDF document.
That being said, all I have ever done with a PDF was to read it and sometimes print a page or so from one.
I would like to know more about PDF and it's usefulness as I know next to nothing about it.
What would be the advantage of a PDF slide-show compared to any other type slide-show ?
What are the advantages of PDF in the first place ?
Thanks for reading.

I think that reading the very beginning of the Wikipedia article answers about the advantages of the pdf format in general. fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_Document_FormatThe first sentences illustrate the advantage of this format for general use. It will be useful if other friends in this forum comment about their general perception of those advantages for photographers, scrapbookers, designers...
I also have PDF EXchange in my toolbox. For slideshows, the obvious advantage is that everybody can read them, since the pdf format is available in most browsers or via the free Adobe Reader. Not all the possibilities of other solutions like video (only solution now for PSE15), but it's handy and easy to share.
