Scenerio: I pull a thumbnail from the Organizer to the Editor. I make a duplicate to make changes to the photo in levels and maybe a filter. Then I do a save as and rename the photo. How do I download the new updated photo to the Organizer?

Don't forget to check the option to save in the organizer in the save as dialog.

Alternatively you Import>From Files & Folders and pick up the new version from where-ever you saved it.

Thanks ChrisAnn - I have done that - just wished there was something easier or I was missing something. Thanks

Don't forget to check the option to save in the organizer in the save as dialog. I generally do this option - if I remember. By default the tick is on but occasionally I don't want the photo I'm working on in the Organizer so untick it - then forget.

The option File >> duplicate is not meant to duplicate the file on your drive, it's there to allow you to have two instances open at the same time in the editor, for comparison or exchange of layers/features. It's a way to display before/after versions in two floating windows for instance. The 'duplicate' resides in memory and is not saved on the drive until you choose 'Save as'. Look at the file destination before the ok to the save as; change it if necessary. If you set the destination to a 'watched' folder, the organizer will prompt you to import it when the service finds it on the watched folders.

Thanks for all this great information. I am going to try it - I had Elements 11 and there seems to be some more changes in 15 than I realized. Thanks again.
