G'day esteemed PSE&M members. Could I trouble you to give me your opinion as to whether the image below looks better with or without the stroke around it (my housemate and I are divided on this issue). Any other comments most welcome! Thanks very much, Sydney PS. Double clicking will open them up in full screen for you to better see them.

Sydney.....My preference would be for the one with the border. That image also seems to have a canvas texture added that is omitted in the bottom image. Will be interested to read what others prefer.

I do like the canvas texture that is in the top image but missing in the bottom image. As far as the border goes, I like it, but if the image is to be printed and framed I would probably chose the border-less one.

I prefer it with the canvas texture and without the border, but it depends what you plan to do with it. It is a very nice image either way.

I'm in the "depends what you are going to do with it" camp. Both look nice to me.

I like the texture on the first one and I also like the border. Even if you intended framing it the border would still look nice if the whole thing was matted...

My favorite is the borderlesss one.
I do like the first image because it does pop out. But the 2nd image's color balance is more pleasing to me. It just totally works on it's own.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to respond - I really appreciate it. Personally, I like the one with the border, but my house mate likes the other one.
