I read today that they are no longer going to produce the magazine or their site - pop photo. They have been around 80 years!

Sadly, a sign of the times! Unfortunately, we are going to see more well known magazines and newspapers close or totally change format...

American Photo which has been online only is also shutting down.

The internet age, with the plethora of free photography information sites and youtube videos which abound, has made it tough for mags like Popular Photography which charge money. While it is a great magazine I haven't bought a copy of it in years for the reasons above.

The only thing I do find annoying is there is nothing for the folks that have paid subscriptions. No refund. Bummer.
