AutoFX, as part of its spring promotion on software bundles, is giving away the HDR FX module for gratis. Here is the linkThere are quite a few deals going which appear to be excellent value, so you might want to have a good perusal on their site.

I just downloaded and installed; for Windows, it is a 336mb download; and, for whatever reason, the first download attempt failed after about ten minutes; it took about twenty minutes to complete a successful download; usually, when I download stuff in the wee hours, it will come in so fast as to make the computer jump, but not so this time. I had already taken advantage of their light effects free deal some time ago; like that deal, you get a whole bunch of other stuff on fifteen day trial. It installed itself right into my Elements 7 and also will work in stand-alone fashion via a desktop shortcut. It is way past my bedtime so I have not yet checked it out. Again, thanks !

Okay, I have played around a bit with this and, although I only have it for fifteen days, I am quite impressed with the Portrait part of the package.
The program installed as a stand-alone that can be launched and used all by itself; it also installed in the "Filter" menu of our Elements 7; HOWEVER, it did not install in our Elements 12; how do I go about getting this to show up in E12 ?
Thanks for reading.
On EDIT: I just had a look in the "plug ins" folders of both E7 and E12; the "Mystical_Gen2_PlugIn_32" is present in both of them, yet it does not show up in the E12 Filter menu.

- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Plug-Ins\. . . - Copy the Mystical_Gen2_PlugIn_32.8bf file. - Paste this file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\Plug-Ins\ . . .

Thanks so much for the information; however, you must have been typing while I was editing; here is what I added to my post above : "On EDIT: I just had a look in the "plug ins" folders of both E7 and E12; the "Mystical_Gen2_PlugIn_32" is present in both of them, yet it does not show up in the E12 Filter menu." Should I delete it from the E12 folder and copy/paste it again ? There are a lot of things I like about Windows 7 Pro, but our Windows 7 Home Premium machines are not nearly so quirky.

I guess that was what happened. I didn't see your "EDIT" until now.
Give it a try! Maybe Elements 12 just needs a little push. BTW, if you want to know where the installer placed those files (32- and 64-bit), check . . .
C:\Program Files (x86)\Auto FX Software\Mystical Gen2\Plug-Ins
Make sure to keep Elements closed until you are done copying/pasting.
