Hello everyone,
I created a course called Enhancing Photos for Complete Beginners at Udemy. It uses mainly Photoshop Elements (along with a touch of Affinity Photo and Pixelmator) to go through the very basics of image editing. It's here and is completely free. It covers the 5 steps I think every beginner should consider taking when developing a photo, and then goes a little further & talks about things like layer masks etc. You can read what the reviews are like here and if I can just lift the comments from the last two reviewers:
