Another lovely week of images, which meant it was a struggle to whittle them down to a few favourites, but I have finally gone with the following honourable mentions:
Sydney: As Day Breaks. You've caught that sun perfectly just touching the horizon and peeping through the masts, and then processed the whole thing beautifully to make the most of those rich colours. Lovely.
Sepiana: Sketched Symmetry. That is bold processing, but it works so so well. I particularly love the detail of the picked out bricks and can only wonder at the effort it has taken to make it all so clean and perfectly drawn, reading just the perfect amount of texture in the stonework and glass.
dandc: Northern Mockingbird. There's a mocking bird, singing songs in the trees; There's a mocking bird, singing songs just for you and me... (Barclay James Harvest - sorry I just couldn't stop myself singing). Not a bird I'm familiar with here in the UK, and its bottom is not a viewpoint I would normally highlight, but the inclusion of the eye makes it, and the feather detail is fantastic.
But my IOW winner this week is...
Srmoment: Sunset Ponder. Gorgeous light, beautifully processed into a pure silhouette. Everything works together from the figure to the grasses to the rocks and even the birds walking past behind. Made me stand and admire the way that the subject is admiring their own sunset.
Sorry to those that I did not include, suffice to say that I admired everyone's work this week. Keep up the excellent work.
