Don't waste your time with bug reports:
1) The Elements team members are obviously aware of the issue reported both in the Elements forum and in the feedback one.
2) There was somewhere an explanation about the feedback forum. All posts are read... but few get written 'feedback' from Adobe, such as "Acknowledged" or 'We are working on it" or "fix available in an upcoming update". Especially for Elements
. Bug reports would be, as we say, "enfoncer une porte ouverte". That does not mean the Elements team is not working on it.
I think you should re-read what Sepiana said about the fixes in between Elements versions.
- There is rarely a single bug or issue to correct, generally a single update is issued for several bugs at the same time; I would expect that within a month or so. Other bugs and issues to be corrected are the problems with auto-hide task bar in Windows and other hardware/OS compatibility issues.
- Contrary to what some users think, the present issue is probably ignored by 99% of the users. I'd say you don't need the last used file list if you are using either the organizer or Lightroom. And Adobe is able to know the percentage from its anlysis of used features by the users. Yes, the bug must be fixed, no doubt about that.
- That problem may be an opportunity to think about your workflow: working with collections/albums/keywords may mean some additional work, but would mean much more powerful tools to manage recent files like in a 'cache' or in 'favorites'.
- If you are curious, you'll see that the 'last edit' time is shown in the 'History' panel in the organizer and stored hidden in the catalog. Unfortunately, there is no indexing nor search option for that... Maybe a good idea for a feature request in the same 'feedback' forum ?
