I like old trucks.
What is the apparatus in the bed of the truck; a salt-spreader maybe ?
It looks like snow is packed in the treads so I guess the truck has been driven.

Glad you like the photo. I would guess that the apparatus has something to do with maple sugaring. It looks like a boiling pan. I think the snow in the tire treads is because of the fresh snow that was falling. I don't believe it is still in use. Thank you for your interest!

I would guess that the apparatus has something to do with maple sugaring. It looks like a boiling pan. Now that you mention it, it does look similar to a molasses boiling/skimming pan; I would assume that boiling off cane molasses would be a very similar process to making syrup.
