<snip> Yet, at no time have I been requested to enter a license code, nor have I been e-mailed one; does this package just not require such ? Is this the free version OP posted? if so I don't believe there's a license Yes, the same; thanks. I was just expecting there to be a licensing/validation procedure like there is/was with their other previous free versions; when I got On1 Perfect Effects 9.5 for free, they e-mailed a license that I have had to keep up with and use several times since. I guess they have changed the policy this time.

I am afraid all we can do is guess. If you want a definite answer, you need to contact ON1 Support.

And here is my guess . . .
Maybe the reason for no license/validation for this free ON1 Effects 10.5 is because this is the end of the line for ON1 Effects. This product has been discontinued. From information on their website, there will be no more updates, i.e., there will be no ON1 Effects 11, etc. Also, there will be no technical support for this product. They are now putting all their attention and efforts into their new product.

Not sure if this was already posted - but I recently noticed that ON1 has made their full-function version of ON1 Effects 10.5 free. Enjoy! Dan A big THANK YOU ! for bringing this to light. There are a few new filters that are not in my version 9.5; I especially like the "Haze Be Gone!" filter. I do levels, saturation, contrast, sharpening, and such to the image in PS E7 and then send a merged PSD layer to ON1 Effects to add the Haze Be Gone filter; then, back in Elements, I drag the Haze Be Gone layer on top of my other layers, set blend mode to "Soft Light" and opacity to around 60% and it does wonders.

Glad you like it! I find Dynamic Contrast to do a similar treatment as Haze Be Gone but it's nice to have options to try ;^) Actually I found a PSE Action called DeFog from a website 'DP for Moms' (DP for Digital Photography I believe) that works really well within PSE to do something similar. Not sure if it's still around but it might be worth a search so you'll have another tool in your digital editing belt!

Elements 15 has Haze Removal in the Enhance menu. Both Auto and manually-adjust menu options.

The haze reduction feature in ON1 Effects 10.5 works really well. In general, I really like it.

I haven't tried Dynamic Contrast for dehazing; I need to give it a chance. I believe it is also available in ON1 Photo RAW (which I am now using).
Elements 15 has Haze Removal in the Enhance menu. Both Auto and manually-adjust menu options.
Elements 14 also has Haze Removal. However, I am not a big fan of it; it is too limited when it comes to adjustment options. There are many ways to remove haze in an image using Elements; they have proven to be quite effective as well as to allow for more editing flexibility.

Dan Is this the site ? digitalphotographyformoms.com/photography-freebies/It appears one must join to get to see the free offerings; I have not taken the time to join just yet as I am sort of in the middle of drilling a hole through our 18"-thick wall; I am not a mom either, but they don't have to know.....
