For the last thirty years or so, our family gets together and has an old time wheat threshing with dinner on the grounds; this is a shot captured last summer. Straight from the camera: :and after a bit of work: I will let you guys decide which one granny would rather have framed and standing on top of the piano. Oh, and by the way, that machine does not just set around and look pretty; it had just finished powering a J.I.Case wheat thresher for most of the day and the black smoke was rolling; you could feel the ground shaking a hundred yards away.

Polishes up well, doesn't it. A steam engine rally is held in North Yorkshire every year. Unfortunately, I never got to it.
