I had a REALLY hard time choosing the IOW this week because there were many excellent submissions. .....so, runner-ups:

Shadows of spring by deany:
I love the combination of color, light, dark and transparency in this lovely still life.

Along the laneways of Bruges by Sidney
This looks like a Renoir painting to me. It's beautiful!

Strutter by drjoerogers
This image has wonderful colors and a truly amazing bird!

any one of these images could have been my IOW, but I finally settled on:

Old Millerton House by Berengaria
...even the title suggests mystery and the need to explore an old house. I really like the treatment here and the way the soft framing makes the house stand out.

Thank you SrMoment for the honor. I admire your work very much although it is much more imaginative than I can be. I admired Sydney's "Bruges". The members of this group are so talented. I'm always inspired to try something new although I usually I stick with the "classical" approach. Thank you everyone for your "like" vote.

Thank you for judging, Pat! I can see why you had a hard time....these are all beautifully crafted images. Congratulations to Dean, Sydney, Joe and especially to Berie whose "classical" approach continues to inspire us. A wonderful display of talent!
