The incredible talent displayed in this weeks gallery once again made it very hard to choose just a few, but I eventually narrowed it down to these five. Runners up, which all deserve the distinction of Image of the Week are, in no particular order Survivor by DrJoeRogersI really like the part photo/part sketch technique and you have mastered it in this lovely image of an old classic. preview.ibb.co/k5r9O5/PSE_M_Crestline_Shell_Truck.jpgLight my way by SrMomentThis one jumped right out of my screen, it makes me wonder where this young man is heading to as he rides those waves of glorious colour. c1.staticflickr.com/3/2889/34088746156_d8ed234c74_c.jpgUnder an open grate bridge by PeteBTaken from an unusual viewpoint and very nicely composed. You have conveyed the flow of water under the bridge and stormy sky above so well. 2812blog.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/bridge2426.jpgColour Riot by SrMomentA riot of colour indeed, those little blue flowers complement the yellow roses to perfection. This is another of Pat's latest beautiful creations, what technique are you using for these gorgeous images? ..... this would be a good one for the Creative Effects Challenges c1.staticflickr.com/3/2878/33306531674_af4663c909_c.jpgAnd after much deliberating, my choice of Image of the Week is Checking the Nest by FotofrankA stunning capture of this pair of nesting herons, beautifully composed and perfectly captured. Well done preview.ibb.co/k8pw1Q/nest_build.jpg

Congrats to all and I am truly honored to be the image of the week. I was standing in a marsh in ten inches of water about 100+ yards away.
Thanks for all the comments.

Congratulations to all winners.
I really like the effect of flames coming from the motor bike exhaust.

Pauline, thank you for the kind words! Great capture on the IOW!
Oh....to worry or not to worry when your kid rides a dirt/motorbike! Can't he just stick to street hockey...and perhaps not jump of the highest jump he can find with his snowboard..... ...I'll check out the creative effects challenge when I get a moment.
