A new bug has been reported in the latest Lightroom CC/6 update. When you select "Edit in Photoshop", a warning pops up saying that your version of the ACR plug-in is not updated (even if it is). We expect this bug to be taken care of in the upcoming Lightroom update. For the time being, you have to follow Adobe's suggestion in the document below.
Erroneous compatibility warning in Lightroom with 'Edit In Photoshop'

Or just check "Don't show again"? Unfortunately, I am afraid this won't do the trick. Even if you check this box, you still have to tell Lightroom what to do -- Cancel, Render using Lightroom, or Open Anyway. The purpose of this box is to inform Lightroom of your decision and make it "sticky". Basically, by checking it, you are telling Lightroom not to bother asking again what you want done. This means that next time you do Edit in . . ., Lightroom will remember what it is supposed to do. If you don't check this box, Lightroom will keep asking you every time you do Edit in . . . .

Sepiana That advice came from Matt Kloskowski. I don't claim any expertise. At any rate, it seems to work. agg

I don't claim to be an expert at Lightroom either. I tried just checking "Don't show again" and Lightroom would NOT move. I had to also click on "Open Anyway". Then, later, when I did Edit in . . ., the warning didn't pop up and my file opened in Photoshop without any problem.
I have Lightroom installed on two computers. I will check my second copy. I will post back with the results.

angela,
Sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread; I got sidetracked. Anyway, I checked Lightroom on my second computer. I tried just clicking on "Don't show again" but it didn't work. I still had to click on "Open Anyway".
It just happened that I was checking my e-mail a few minutes ago and there it was. An e-mail from Matt K with the advice you mentioned earlier in this thread. From what I understand, he agrees with Adobe's suggestion to click on "Open Anyway" but he goes a step further. He suggests you should also click on "Don't show again". This will prevent the warning from popping up in the future. Lightroom knows what you want done and will obey.

After I hit "Don't show again", I had no repetition. But as soon as I installed the latest update, opened an image in LR and selected "Edit in Photoshop", the message popped up again. Go figure... agg

I installed this update on two copies of Lightroom CC. No problem! The warning message is gone.
