Prior to getting Elements, I had PSP with Animation Shop. They were dead easy to do in there. I only tried once with Elements - and gave up completely.

Sizing has always been my major problem with animations. Making the layers is just a matter of a little patience and practice, . . . For watching them myself and checking if they run well before posting, I can open them from the Windows Picture Folder in the Browser just by clicking on them. Rita My major problem with animations is not sizing. It's my lack of patience, creativity, and skills. I wish I could be like you.
The few times I tried my hands at animation, I always previewed the results while I was still in the Save for Web dialog.

Sepiana,
that is a good way for a quick check. When I prepare them in ImageReady I usually make more than one version, i.e. at different compressions, and they are then easier to compare from the Pictures Folder. Besides, you can do that at any time ,while the Save For Web Dialog is gone when you save.

That's an interesting site. I just downloaded one of the fire gifs and it was good seeing how the layers were put together for the end result.

Rita Yes I have just looked at it. Great idea...That's going to be 'one' of my problems - thinking of ideas for animations.

And you both think you have problems? When it comes to animation, . . .
My major problem with animations is not sizing. It's my lack of patience, creativity, and skills.
Now . . . that's a PROBLEM!

Sepiana, I simply do not believe this. We keep seeing your creativity and skills, and your Patience in explaining the most arcane subjects is simply legendary around here.

Thanks, you are both very kind but I KNOW my limitations when it comes to animated GIFs.
