Just FYI, you can easily import your IE favorites into Firefox.

Major, Major, I know, and I have done so, and even replaced it with a newer version, but it makes it much more difficult to keep in order. Also, unless you transfer each folder separately it scrambles them all up. And no Norton Bar!

This Warning, according to the MS help site, is generated by IE itself, so does not appear anywhere else.
I do still use IE for 2 reasons.
1. It accepts the Norton bar on which I rely for security and it has never let me down. 2. The Favorites (Bookmark) system, which allows very easy control.
So, I'll have to put up with it
This seems to confirm that the problem is with the browser (as it was suggested earlier in this thread). However, you have an additional choice besides just putting up with this warning or using other browser(s). You can post on the IE forum. IE11 is the last version of this Microsoft's default browser; it is also the only version for which security updates are still being released. I believe they will pay attention to your inquiry.

I have had a notice come up, saying that this is not a secure site as it is not https. But I have not had any problems at all - freezing, etc. And my pc is weighted down with security. Whippet, http is used by most sites. https is used by banking sites and other sites that need above normal security. https is needed when entering sensitive info. http is normal for everyday sites. Yes, Moto. But, as I said, that is a notice which comes up. At least this is something I do know about ( the difference between http and https) for a change. Ritage - I have used Firefox for over 12 years. I still prefer it to any other browser. I did give Opera a try once. That was okay.

I don't understand how low popularity of a given browser (in this case Internet Explorer) or its privacy/security features will explain the warnings Rita has been getting. Moreover, why they seem to be limited to this forum. That's the crux of the matter. You're 100% on point about popularity - I was responding directly to what was Posted by Moto 11 hours ago

I understood whom you were addressing. We are on the same wavelength (and in total agreement). Popularity of a given browser should not play a role in one's selection of it. As you said, . . .
Far more important are privacy and security.

I'm very glad you went back to look at that. When I did, the answer was not there and it said 0Replies. I didn't notice the date and that the question was brand new. I printed out the answer from the linked thread and will try it if or when the Warning pops up again. It is probably not a good idea to disable those protections permanently.
Thanks, Sepiana.
