I seem to be having problems uploading my images to my Gallery. It's probably me that is not understanding the procedures/rules for uploading etc. even though i've gone through the FAQ's. The main issue I have is that when I've uploaded them into my Gallery my images always seem to appear smaller in dimensions to most other members images and therefore do not show them to their true potential etc. I always use the Export function within LR to change the file format from Raw CR2 to jpg but find I have to do quite a bit of trial and error to obtain the correct file size as the imgbb system seems to often reject my upload for incorrect file size or format. Am I correct in thinking the max. file size is 14mb and only jpg's?? I have also attempted to resize within PSE but can't seem to get the correct results. I am really not used to working with jpg's as I do all my work on images in RAW and TIFF and even print at home in RAW format.
I hope I've explained the issue clearly enough. I'd be really grateful if anybody could point me in the right direction with some sound advice.
Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem. My jpg images are automatically downsized when uploaded. It seems that the image is downsized so that the longest side is 640 px regardless of the original size of the image. Not sure why this is happening but other members are able to post larger images. Yes, I need help too.

Once you drag your image onto the dialog box, it tells you you have the opportunity to resize your image by clicking on the preview. Have you tried doing that to see what's going on?

Some members use Cubeupload.com; others seem to use a link to their Flickr gallery or to their blog.

We need some clarification. Are you talking about when you upload an image to your Gallery or when you add an image to a post? Something like what happened in the WP Challenge thread.

I've just uploaded another image to my gallery and it still appears too small to really see the detail. I attempted to resize it in the upload dialogue box as suggested but kept getting an error message saying it was too large, even though an image posted just before mine was almost twice as big. I'll have to look at another method of posting.

Update. I had an old Flickr account that I rarely used so i've just experimented and uploaded 2 images there and downloaded from there to my Gallery. They are both shown there now somewhat larger than I was managing via imgbb.com which I'm happy with. Thanks to all for your input.

Karen, I believe this should fix the problem.
When this dialog pops up, do not click on the image preview to edit or resize your image. Just click on the "Upload" button.
Your image will be displayed (small size) as shown in this post.
www.photoshopelementsandmore.com/post/34732
Click on the small-size image and you will be taken to the full-size version (2500 x 1202 px, 2.4 MB) as shown in the screen shot below.
