Remove duplicate photos

I recently set up a second computer, that was sitting idle, as a backup for my pictures.  I loaded the pictures on it, and shortly after discovered that the main computer shared all the pictures. So now I have copies of all the pictures, as well as the originals I installed.  Are there any programs available (preferably free) to delete these duplicates?
