Could someone give a short review of elements xxl and elements+.
I guess they are much the same but is one better than the other.
I have elements +, but have just heard of elements xxl.
Regards Schaf

Hi Schaf,
I don’t believe the issue is which one is better but which one will meet your needs and interests. The bottom line is that both Elements+ and Elements XXL will bring out Photoshop functions which are "hidden" from Elements users. The difference is that Elements XXL will bring out more of such functions. Do you have any use for these additional hidden Photoshop functions in your workflow? The only way for you to know before you take the plunge is to download the free trial of Elements XXL and test the waters. In this way, you will be able to make an informed decision.

There are two other differences: XXL integrates more smoothly into the PSE interface. And it's anout 4 times as expensive as Elements+.

Thanks Guys for your replies. The question is then do I need both or is xxl easer to navigate than elements+.
Yes I will download a trial version.
Do you have to repurchase elements xxl for every new version of Photoshop elements as you do with elements+.
Many Thanks

Yes I will download a trial version. Do you have to repurchase elements xxl for every new version of Photoshop elements as you do with elements+. I don't think you must purchase a new version as you do with E+. However, I can tell you that the support with Elements+ is the best available; that is something that money simply can't buy! If you do try out the trial version I would be quite grateful if you would share your experience with XXL.

Hi Schaf, I know Elements+ pretty well (I'm the developer) In the meantime, I've never used ElementsXXL. Can only judge by the online documentation. or is xxl easer to navigate than elements+ It depends on what approach you find easier: - ElementsXXL integrates its commands into PSE interface -- the Layers panel, the Options bar, and the main menu - In Elements+ all add-on commands are located together -- in the Effects and/or the Actions panel Do you have to repurchase elements xxl for every new version of Photoshop elements as you do with elements+. - ElementsXXL ($50) seems to work in all installed PSE versions - Each version of Elements+ ($12) is intended for a specific version of PSE For example, "Elements+ for PSE 14" is only intended for PSE 14. However, if you add "Elements+ for PSE 14" actions into PSE 15 Actions panel, most essential functions will work (Curves, Edit Adjustment Layer, Create/Edit Smart Object, etc.) Version-specific features -- such as keyboard shortcuts and menu customization -- will not work properly.
