Hi folks,
Despite the constant requests, Adobe still won't put the "layer sets" functionality into PE. That means that if someone sends me a file that uses sets, there's no way for me to "unset" them. I know there used to be a workaround for this (a bunch of actions), but I can't seem to find it.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this?
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that someone over at EV once put an action for ungrouping layers in a post, but I didn't save it. Maybe someone else did?
Or failing that, there is also a nifty little program called Elements + which is inexpensive (& which I'd highly recommend) and that also has an action for ungrouping layers.

Hi scratch, welcome to Photoshop Elements & More!
Bayla is correct. One of the EV members, dconsc, created an action to group and ungroup layers in Elements. The action was written for PSE 7, but, as a rule of thumb, actions written for this version will work in PSE 8 and above.
NOTE: In PSE 11 and above, just load this action via the Actions panel (Window>Actions). Do not load this action via the Effects Panel (Photo Effects tab). There have been some confirmed reports that it won't work when loaded via the Effects panel.
This action can be downloaded from this thread. -- Unlocking non-editable layers

Sepiana, Thanks! I knew I'd read it somewhere (and also was pretty sure that someone like you would come up with the goods ) Bayla
