Taken yesterday evening at Janesmoor Pond in the New Forest. The 2nd image was taken using a 10 stop ND filter @ 30secs

Thanks for posting, Phil. One of these days I'm going to get a ND filter....in the meantime I appreciate seeing the difference they make in your work. Really tamed down the sun and like the effect it had on the sky and water. Was the white balance the same on both of these? Especially like the beautiful blue in the second image.

Glad you liked the images Helen. I always keep my white balance on AUTO in camera and adjust as required in post edit which is usually no problem as I always shoot in raw.

Just look at that sunburst - it's awesome. Beautiful photo.
I love sunset photos. We have the most beautiful sunsets - all color combos - each evening is another new look. I never realized how different a sunset can be until I moved to a house which overlooks a retention pond. The reflection on the water just adds so much to my photos as it did to yours.

Thanks Janice. I appreciate your comments. I agree that water always seems to have a positive impact on sunset/sunrise images.
