Have been going through some archive/older photos and thought I would share these. They are of the west coast of Scotland and Isle of Skye taken in 2011. Loch Duich Eilean Donan Castle Loch Scavaig, Isle of Skye

That is some impressive scenery and I thank you for sharing it; you did a fine job in capturing it; the scenery is just so much more awesome than the landscapes around here.

These are just jaw-droppingly beautiful!!! They have a grand sense of depth and the exposure, color and detail have been beautifully captured. The little house in the bottom one draws me into the scene.....think this one is my favorite.....but it's a tough choice! Are they single shots or panoramas stitched together? Stunning landscapes!

Thank you for sharing these Scania. My homeland, Scotland, has some really lovely scenery we just don’t often get the weather to show it to advantage. These are all beautiful but if I had to pick a favourite it would be the first one. I am drawn into it over the tops of the trees and into the far reaches of the Loch to the hills beyond.

Thanks for the comments BuckSkin, Helen and BillieJean. Glad you enjoyed them. Helen. They are all single images, no Panos or Bracketed shots. At that time in 2011 I was only a year or two into my interest in digital photography and had not as yet got into the more technical aspect of photography.

Those have to be some of the best scenery photos I've seen. My favorite is the first one, but that third one is a close second. Wow - that's all I can say - WOW

Fabulous. A lot of people say they don't like Scotland . . . but have never been. They don't know what they are missing. Why waste money going abroad, when we have this right on our doorstep.

Fantastic images - brings back lots of great memories from my travels there last October. Thanks Sydney. Hope you enjoyed your time in Scotland as much as I did. Perhaps you could post some of your images ?? when we have this right on our doorstep. I agree, in the UK we have a lot of photogenic scenery.

The second image - the one of the castle - is wonderful. The contrast between the lighted castle and the rest of the image is perfect. Very enjoyable to view.
