I have finally had some spare time on my hands this summer and came across this article on the exposure triangle. It includes 3 quick videos that explain the Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO triangle. When I bought my first DSLR it was set to Automatic for the longest time as shooting in Manual or AV or any other mode just scared me. Once I understood the Exposure Triangle it gave me the confidence to move away from Automatic and take control of my photos. I recommend that everyone with a camera learns the basics of this triangle in order to get a better understanding of creating images.

I will definitely be checking out that article as I need to explore something other than aperture priority mode which I use. Thanks for the link Simone

Excellent explanation of the Exposure Triangle. I've forwarded the URL to my photography group members. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Simone! agg

Thank you Simone for bringing up this important topic and excellent material. For people interested in exposure in general and more specifically in relation with landscape photography, I highly recommend the following ebook : “Exposure for Outdoor Photography” by Micheal Frye. It is available from Craft and Vision, at craftandvision.com/collections/michael-frye Another valuable source of information and reference document would be an ebook from Andrew S. Gibson, “Mastering exposure”, available on the author’s Web site, The Creative Photographer, at: store.creative-photographer.com/
