Taken yesterday evening in the New Forest. Each image consists of 5 x bracketed shots @ 2ev spacing and merged in LR. They are my 1st set of images taken with my new full frame Nikon D750 after changing from cropped sensor Canon.

Nice images Scania. I hope you don't mind me asking but I'm interested - in the first image is that the way the sun appeared or are you adding rays to it with an effect of some sort?

No I don't mind you asking at all, no problem. The sunburst effect is as shot, no effects or brushes added. If you stop down on the aperture to maybe f22 or similar as this image is, you should find you get that sort of effect. I did take the same image at f11 and the sunburst was not as prominent. A lot also depends on the type of lens used. As I understand it, the more blades the lens has, the more effect you will obtain.

These are two beautifully exposed images! I have a question as well......What made you switch from Canon to Nikon? Although I was reading recently about people's disappointment with some of the new high-end Canons. I always thing the number of lenses you have would be a big factor in deciding to make a switch.

What fabulous pictures. I would love to be standing there. My dogs would be in seventh heaven, too.

You have so many beautiful images, Phil. But I think you were right on first thought, Sydney.....don't think Phil has added these two yet. Hope you will take Sydney's advice....they are two beautiful not to be seen by those members who mainly use our gallery feature.

Thanks for all your comments everyone. I really appreciate it. Helen. I have been waiting for some time for the new Canon 6D MkII to be launched to change to full frame and was disappointed with the feature set when it finally came. Also the DP Review with regard to poor dynamic range made me decide to go for Nikon. As for lenses I only had one expensive Canon L series and obtained a fairly decent trade in value.

What made you switch from Canon to Nikon? WHAT? How could you ASK such a question, hmca??? I mean, isn't it obvious? Nikon rules! They are the best. Canon is, well, something you should shoot out of a canon! I am...so...disappointed in you, hmca. The nerve!!! (Kidding ya! I shoot Fuji but I used to have a Nikon. Have gone to the mirrorless side now. But man, the cost for lenses! Sheesh! They don't go easy on you.)
