Good afternoon Photoshop Elements and More members! It's time for a new Creative Effects Challenge! The Orton Effect gives a soft, dreamy feel to an image. It is named after Michael Orton who first used the technique by combining copies of a single image, one in focus the other out of focus. I used this tutorial for the Orton Effect. It is quite short, and so lends itself to experimentation. I am looking forward to seeing what you can do with it! Before | After | | |

These are a great start; thank you for diving in a giving this effect a try! Very soft and dreamy (and eerie!).
These efforts show how well this effects works on a diversity of subjects. I wonder how it would work on a portrait?
