I may not know the technicalities of photography, and Elements, but I have always had a love of, and appreciation of art. This has been a very difficult week for me. I would be happy to put any of the pictures on my wall. To enable my selection, I put the pictures on my TV - the results were amazing. My final selection, in alphabetical order, is . . . . . fotofrank . . Glass with beads. I don't know about 'beads'Frank. They look like crystal to me. The effect of the light shining through, is beautiful. Scania . . . New Forest sunset. I felt like Alice in wonderland - able to step into that picture. Solitude, peace, and tranquility. I could picture myself walking my dogs there. Simone . . . Yellow fields. It was this small picture which gave me the idea of putting them on the TV. Is that a rapeseed field? It seems to go on forever. And the way it meets up with that amazing blue sky - beautiful. My Image of the week just had to go to. . . . Pete B . . . . . Thistle. Like a magnet, it kept drawing me back. I picture myself sitting there, gazing down the river, completely at peace. And the thistles in the foreground - absolutely stunning. Thank you all for giving me the most difficult task of my life.

Margaret, what a tough week you had for your first week as judge! Very resourceful to view them on your TV and I enjoyed reading your reasons for choosing each picture! Frank, Simone and Phil your images are wonderful!
Pete, I like the way you used the thistles to add foreground interest to your river scene, congratulations for earning the IOW title!

Margaret, thank you for your first turn in judging the IOW!
Thank you for including my image among your selection. It is a field of canola (which is similar to rapeseed, yet genetically different) and yes, canola fields are huge over here in Canada.
Congratulations to Frank, Phil, and Pete!
