Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else.
- Photoshopping is allowed, but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation.
- Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE

These are from my garden. Please don't ask me what they are, I don't know a daisy from a daffodil !! Perhaps one of our enlightened members will know. I don't have a Macro lens so these are cropped images.   |

Rose Josephine Bruce taken last night in the rain in my garden macro lit with flash only. I am very pleased this came out as I visualised it, this rose is very difficult to photograph to get the deep colour right.  Rose Josephine Bruce by Mark Rainbird, on Flickr |

The only out of camera processing I did on this image was to use the tone curve in the XXL plugin for PSE to boost the contrast via an s curve.  |

Phil, no need for a macro lens! You nailed the "one flower" angle with the DOF you used -- spot-on focus on the flower, blurred background. Great job!

Frank, you really captured the beauty of the Passion flower with all its details -- tendrils, crown, etc. Amazing shot! I smiled when I saw your entry. My pantry is well stocked with Passion flower tea; my fridge is holding the juice and the "real" thing (the fruit).  |

Mark, the dark and blurry background really made this beautiful rose stand out. The rain drops added another dimension to this image. It is a classic! |
