I just now woke up, and remembered this problem with TEXT.... I just tried it, and it WORKS! YES!! It must have been a fix by Microsoft as i never got anything (that I know of) thru Adobe.

Charles, how's it going? It's been about a month since your post and I'm wondering if Text is still working for you. Mine started working again but it only lasted about a day.

Paul, Thank you for the alert. I use PSE so very little anymore I had not tried the text since a month ago. I just now tried it, and found, same as you it again is not working Have you done anymore research on this? Any answers yet if you have done the research? Again, Thank You This is aggravating that this same problem has again appeared!

The "Click Here" for troubleshooting only takes me to "Introduction to Photoshop Elements" which is of no help at all.

See the thread "can't use Text tool", I found that updating Win 10 did the trick.

I sincerely doubt they will address this text engine problem; this problem is a result of a recent update of Windows 10 Creators. I believe the Windows 10 Fall Creators update (which Microsoft began rolling out last October) has fixed it.
