I'm always fascinated by the sunsets over our little lake right outside our lanai I know this is dark - but I caught the sunset kind of late - and then I didn't want to mess with the colors, so I left it dark. 5 yr old Nikon Coolpix set on "auto"

When I tried 'night landscape' it washed the colors - and even though I had the camera resting on a solid surface, it still kind of blurred - but there seems to be more definitive color detail in this one. I prefer the one taken on 'auto'

Absolutely beautiful Jan! I have to say that I prefer the auto one as well as I like that more defined contrast it gives to the image.

I do as well.....I like it better without the yellow reflection in the lake. Beautiful sunset!

I prefer the auto version one as well - mainly due to the drama that comes out of the clouds - more pronounced.

Agree with everyone, the Auto version's deeper colours are much nicer.
See, old camera's are still very good. Before I bought my first DSLR I had a Panasonic Lumix TZ5 which had a great zoom lens (28mm-280mm), and it took some wonderful photos. I still have the camera, and it is in full working order. I don't use it any more, but the rest of the family grabs it ever now and then.
