For quite some time I've fought the temptation to buy new photo toys. Years ago I purchased a 3-in-one TrekPod (walking stick, monopod, tripod) with a magnetic quick mount for the camera. The recent eclipse event uncovered the short comings of the TrekPod as my only tripod. I gave in an purchased a lightweight travel tripod with a pano capable ball head that collapses to 20" and provides the capability to reverse mount the center piece $61.99 at AmazonThe quality is quite good...

I just had a squiz - looks to be a great tripod, especially at that price and has wonderful reviews. When Amazon arrives in Australia I might consider purchasing one. Thanks for the tip off.

If you are interested in reviews of tripods for traveling, then I found this threeleggedtech.com/best-travel-tripod-for-mirrorless-camera article recently. I like that the article describes the pros and cons of each. I plan to go to Greece this summer, I would like to spend more time taking photos, but I understand that all the shooting equipment takes up a lot of space in my luggage. So I started looking for more information on the web and found this article. I plan to take with me one suitcase with my clothes and a bag with a laptop. I'm not sure if I have enough space for a spare battery for my camera, a tripod, two lenses ... Any tips?
