Hi, it's been awhile since I've been back and am glad to know all you helpful people are still around. I'm now using PSE 15 which I only downloaded a few days ago. I'm on a Mac with Sierra.
I just went to save a layered document which I want to 'save for web'. It's a 3600 square and I've always made it 600 square and saved it as a .jpg without a problem. I've just tried to do it but it wants to save it as a gif and there seems to be no option to save as a .jpg. I do not need it to be optimised as I always save the .psd and the web save is only to upload to the web if I need to. I upload to forums and share via email. No problems ever. It's easy, quick and I don't ever have to resize no matter how many layers the original has.
Can you tell if there is an option to save as a .jpg and how to find it and if not will it change anything regarding the size of the document when I upload to the web. Many thanks Flora

Hi Flora,
I also have PSE 15. There is an option to save as JPEG in the Save for Web dialog. What happens when you click on the downside arrow? You don't have JPEG listed?

Sepiana, I tried the preset options dialogue again just before you posted and voila. I'm on a small laptop and sometimes it's hard for me to see where I'm clicking. I obviously clicked on the up arrow twice instead of checking options below. Or vice versa. Anyway I've found it and your screen shot will remind me next time. I've been using Elements 13 for so long I haven't had to change settings. Sorry to be a nuisance. I was anxious to post it to beat a deadline. Many thanks for your trouble.

Flora, no need for apologies. The important thing is that all is well now. Enjoy PSE 15!
