Once again, thanks to everyone who shared their work—it’s always a pleasure to check out the latest Gallery additions, and I invariably find myself admiring the accomplished work on display. Here are my favourites this week: With “Ovid Idaho Old Mormon Treasure” Helen takes us up an overgrown path to an abandoned building that has an air of simple elegance that survives the rough treatment of time and weather. With “Morning Sun 2”, srmoment has captured a beautiful sky and a calm sea—and sunshine. An invitation to an ideal spot for a seaside walk, with weather to match. My pick for Image of the week is fotofrank’s “Mantis”. With not too much imagination, this excellent macro capture makes the little creature look much more threatening that it really is.

Thanks for judging, Angela!
It was nice to come home and see my picture included this week. Congrats to Pat for her beautiful lighthouse and to Frank for sharing his macro mantis view. I agree with Angela's thoughts as to how he appears in your image.

Sorry but I've been a bit tardy in being around the forum lately. Great choices, Angela, and can I just say that (imho) those are some of the best images we will see all year so well done all; excellent work and thanks for sharing and providing inspiration to the rest of us.
