Thank you Marianne, It was backlit so I spot metered of the brightest part of the peg which then made the background dark. It's something I do quite often especially with flowers. Thank you Judy.  I |

Thank you Alex and Jancy for the kind comments. The truth be told due to health problems and never being sure if I will be able to travel far 95% of my photography is done at home these days so I have to try harder to be creative. |

I am also a big fan of taking pictures close to home whenever possible. This image looks so simple but is so effective. I would never have guessed that you hadn't used a black backdrop. I am learning so much from you!
