This is the front of my Christmas letter - it's very basic because I didn't want to use a lot of ink when I printed my cards. It would look nice with a little wood grain or color, but... Graphics from the old Digital Design Den website

This would also be a nice idea for the front of a card Janice.

Very nice - I like the minimalist look to it.

I think it looks great, too.
I know what you mean about inks. It could have cost you a lot more to print, than it would to buy cards.
I agree with Sydney's comment, too.

Still the first one for me.
Did you have to start afresh for the paint job? I can't work out if you could do it from the original, or not. And I noticed the plaque hanging there now.

I always save my psd's so it was a matter of putting a layer of color/texture under the four boxes layer that made up the door panels. I added styles to the door panel boxes to make them look more carved into the door. I added a style to the door handle (made with a standard shape flipped upside down) to make the handle look more metallic. I added the plaque (standard shape) and a hollowed out circle to connect it to the wreathe. I added a bevel to give the plaque a wood look and to give the circle a metallic look. On my finished card, I added my last name to the plaque - bevel makes the name look carved into plaque.
