It seems photographers often look back over their photos from the last year and post their favorite shots. I thought it might be fun to see some of our members' favorite shots from the last year. I will begin with this shot taken at the Grand Tetons in September. There was a heavy smoke presence during our trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone in September. Someone had told me about a spot that was good for sunset pictures. When we arrived I was intrigued with this puddle! Although it was not the best shot I took at this location, it was the one that first captured my attention and therefore brings me back to that location and the excitement I felt when first arriving there. u.cubeupload.com/HMCA/F8A9666EditEditEdit.jpgHope you will share one of your favorite shots from the last year as well.

I have a few favorites, I choose the image that I spent the most time and had the most fun creating; of course it helps that I won national bragging rights ... All the images were captured by me prior to 2017, the composite was created last year.

Helen, what a great idea; I will have to find my best shot later tonight and post it. Looking forward to seeing everyone's submissions.
Pete, what a great composite and how wonderful to have it published!!

Great images everyone. I am going to have to go through my very unorganised collection of photos I took in 2017 and see if I can find a couple of favs.

This is definitely one of my fav photos of 2017 (taken in October) because when I took it it was so unexpected. I was riding a bicycle along a trail in Anchorage, Alaska when I came across these 2 behemoths about to square off with each other. I had never seen a moose before this (much less 2), so for me, it was an unbelievably unreal moment to be able to witness such a spectacle.

My favourite shot is one which I took at the Tower of London on our Mum and Daughter trip to London back in May 2017. I chose this not because it was my "best" shot of the year, but because the memories it brings me. Firstly, my daughter was the one that told me to take this shot at the time. Reason being, that her Dad, my husband, served 24 years in the British Army, and there have been plenty of occassions where we saw him just like this, walking away to get back to his duty and it reminded us both of good times and hard times we experienced as an Army family. Secondly, it reminds me of the Tower of London, where this was taken. The Tower is my favourite of all places in London; I love everything about this series of buildings, but most of all I love all the history (I am a history buff). And last, but not least, it reminds me of the wonderful week my daughter and I spent together exploring London. This was our first solo trip together, since she turned into a young adult a few years ago, and it was everything we had hoped it would be. Thank you Helen for making me look back at last year and appreciate this photo again and be reminded of these memories!

This sculpture photo, was taken by a friend on holiday in USA. (I think it was Arizona). I removed it from its township background.
