Importing custom shapes is not available in Elements; they need to be installed. I also have AOM. I believe that's what it is does. It doesn't import custom shapes into Elements; it installs these files in the appropriate folder(s).
Custom shapes are installed in two separate folders, located in different paths. Here are the instructions. 1. To access the custom shapes through the Custom Shape tool (as well as through the Cookie Cutter tool), install them here:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2018\Presets\Custom Shapes 2. To access the custom shapes through the Graphics panel, install them here:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\16.0\Photo Creations\shapes
The ProgramData path is a hidden one. You need to set your folder options to show hidden files before you can navigate it. I believe you have Windows 10.
Customization Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives in Windows 10
NOTE:
The ProgramData path lists Elements as being version 16. I guess Adobe has not changed it to 2018 yet. They dropped the sequential numbering starting with the current version in favor of using the year.

Hi, I seem to remember reading something that he hadn't got it to work in 64 bit operating system, hence the reason it stopped at elements 12. Elements 13 is 64 bit correct me if I'm wrong. My memory is far from reliable. On another note doesn't the GOODIES that come with elements plus offer something similar, I've never played with that part of elements plus. Happy new year to every one
