I would like to do a calendar like this, but it is way to labor intensive because I don't know what I am doing. If you are familiar with Linnea Designs calendar - that is what I am trying to do. My problem is that I can't quite get the days to line up. Any ideas? I tried downloading a calendar pdf and wanted to overlay it over my photo but that didn't seem to work either. Thanks in advance. preview.ibb.co/hGfyGw/DSC_6824_A.jpg

No idea, Judy. But I have no doubt that someone here will be able to give you some great advice.

My Idea is not to use Elements as a word process or spreadsheet. You can create your template in a spreadsheet or table in a word processor. Copy and Paste it into Elements Once it's on it's own layer you can do much more to the layout. Calendar created in excel copied and pasted into Elements. Simplified the layer and added a drop shadow in about 5 min.

Judy, a calendar template in the PDF format should work. Check the one in the link below.
2018 Calendar Template PDF
This is what I came up with. I used the Eraser and the Magic Wand tool to get rid of what I didn't want. Then, I placed the calendar template on my photo and used Free Transform to resize/reposition it.

By the way, PSE 11+ comes with some 30 calendar templates: Create > Photo Calendar...

Judy, you are most welcome! Glad to hear it worked for you. I really like the results. Great job!
BTW, I forgot to mention this. The text in that PDF template is quite editable. You can add a Bevel and/or a Drop Shadow to it. You can also fill it with the color or pattern of your choice.
