Hi sunnyview, welcome to PSE&M!
To help us target our suggestions to your project, would you please give us some more details?
- Which version of Elements do you use? - Are you on a PC or on a Mac? - Is the photo a layered file? With the text on its own layer? Or have the layers been flattened?
Thanks!

If you are not trying to match the text or trying to insert words or letters within the text that is already on the photo -- Try: *using a soft brush with a coordinating color and brush over the text; or *cloning over the text using the clone tool; or *drawing a solid colored box on top of the text and put new text in that box. Use the marquee tool to draw a box over the text. Fill the box with color. This works better/looks softer if your selection has a little feathering (Note: On my original, I had already brushed some color on the photo to make the text stand out from the grass)
