I have pse11 I am trying to hide the item on my layer while having the shadow still visible. I do not want to hide the entire layer. I know there is a visibility part of the effects panel, but I can't seem to find it in either effects or styles. I know I had it at one time.

In Styles are you clicking on the drop down arrow to open the menu choices. It is in there - Visibility and it is the centre icon which is 'invisible'.

I had been doing that - at least I thought I was doing that--- but when I just went back - for the fifth time - there it was. DUH Thanks EDIT Just realized what I was doing wrong. I was looking for 'visibility' in the alphabetic icon list - where each part of visibility is listed separately - so if I had looked for 'hide' instead of 'visibility', I would've found it. But I swear I had looked in the drop down at the top, too... Senior moment -

Just adding some clarification for new users of Elements. If you have Elements 15 and above, you no longer go to Effects>Styles. Starting with Elements 15, Styles have their own panel and can be brought up separately.
