Is subj suitable for photo editing? It seems to be the capacitive pen is a bit awkward for fine masking.

I don't have experience with the bamboo either - but recently updated from an old Wacom Bronze tablet to an Intuos Photo. I really like the newer one with its "touch" and pen and how you can preset 4 keys for shortcuts. I went with the smaller size as i sit back in my chair and hold onto with one hand while adjusting photos in PSE and in On1 Photo Raw 2018.
