I have just added an image to my gallery, but it doesn't show up in the 'latest gallery posts'. Do I need to be more patient?...

Probably, Jackie.....sometimes it takes awhile before they show in the search. It's there now

Thanks Helen, I added it via my Ipad for the first time, maybe that's why there was a delay.

Hi jackscrap,
it's extremely unlikely your iPad is the reason for the delay, assuming your image was successfully uploaded to your gallery page initially.
What normally happens when you upload an image to a web page is that the image's meta data (including the pathname to where the image is stored on the web server) is stored in a database and the image is stored elsewhere on the web server. The web page will then call other functions/scripts that get executed in the background. These function/scripts could be to update the latest gallery posts lists/displays or to perform other functions. The person uploading the image has no control over when these functions/scripts are run. They will be either run automatically by the web page immediately after the image upload or at preset times or manually by an operator/administrator clicking something in their admin panels.
So you can feel free to continue uploading images using your iPad knowing that once the image is uploaded, your iPad's job is done and you have no control over the processing/functions/scripts or whatever is run afterwards by the web server.
