I find this web page a very good starting point for tutorials/inspiration on most things to do with photography. There should be something there for anyone interested in photography techniques, post processing, still life, landscapes, scrapbooking, portraits, special efects, macro photography etc etc etc. There are multiple pages of information. Tutorials and Inspiration

I am a point and shoot photo taker. And still a beginner with Elements.
But I really appreciate art, and the pictures on both your links are stunningly beautiful.

Hi whippet, yes many of them are stunningly beautiful. Unfortunately the side of my brain that controls the artist in me is the less dominant side . My brain is more dominant on technical and analytical concepts. The main things I photograph are landscapes and events. I look at the photos on 500px to see how photographers control things like depth of field, composition concepts, natural lighting (especially during the golden hour) etc to create some sort of WOW effect as opposed to a snapshot. Nothing wrong with snapshots though - they have their purpose as well

Thanks for sharing those, Bailey. I was aware of 500px and will occasionally browse it for inspiration, but I wasn't aware of the tutorials section; certainly looks like a useful place to explore and to learn from.

Even if you're not into landscape photography (day and/or night) this is a very interesting article titled: 5 expert tips for stunning detail in landscape photosby Daniel Laan on 500px. Some of the techniques/concepts can be applied in other types of photography as well. The photos in the article are absolutely stunning (at least imho).

Thanks for sharing, Bailey. I have used focus stacking on still life images but never thought to do it on landscapes. If you get to try this technique I hope you'll post back with the images you created.

Yes, will do Up until now I have been able to get away with setting the focus distance to the hyperfocal distance (or a little beyond to ensure the background is also in focus), but practising focus stacking is on my "to-do" list after I have a go at practising photographing close ups of birds in flight as I mentioned in your How realistic are you about your photography thread.
