I had been hoping to get a top down picture of this spiral staircase outside the local town hall but it's been declared unsafe, closed off at the bottom and "for decorative purposes only" - so I had to shoot from the bottom up. Finally the sun shone today and I'd left my lens hood at home which may account for the sun spots. But it was nice to see them! Tony Tony, great decision. You got an amazing shot in the end. I love it! Amazing capture of the architectural details!
We haven't seen a blue sky and the sun here for days; the sky is nothing but a gray canvas. I welcome the glimpse of a blue sky and the sun spots in your image. They made my day!
