Sepiana - That make way and the effect that you added were made for this effect. It give the feeling that it was painted on slate. Frank, thanks for the comment! The painterly effect was done with the Oil Paint filter (Photoshop). For those who don't have Photoshop, a very similar effect can be created by using Topaz Clean (Stylized Edges Collection).

janice - great use of the Shear Filter.
Ritage - that Zigzag on the square applied a unique affect on the image. How did you create it?

Frank, I used the Out From Center Setting. approximately like this:
The bluish Spiral behind it was the same image in the Around Center setting squashed together vertically, Blend Mode Color.

Rita, thanks for the explanation! I was about to ask the same question as Frank. I just couldn't figure out how you had created this effect. Very creative use of the Zigzag filter!

I'm glad I made it clear, Sepiana. I lack Frank's talent for writing tutorials and I always play around so much that I'm not always sure exactly what I kept and what I deleted.

kdcintx - That is a great attempt and thanks for the comment.
Sepiana - I glad your template collection is growing - it's a good thing they don't take up much space.

The Zig-Zag filter applied to an oval. Frank, which ZigZag values did you use to achieve this effect? I don't seem to be able to replicate what you did. I find it mesmering!
